Nonfiction
Nonfiction is where you read something that is real. For example, a nonfiction book is usually something that is real like an elephant or a book about blue whales. Nonfiction books usually have a lot of text features. Non-fiction books would have facts like the Blue Whales are the largest animals on the planet. That is something that would be in a nonfiction book.

Polar Bears
We researched about Polar Bears and we looked live at Polar Bears that are migrating to Manitoba Canada. We also listened to scientists. We know that Polar Bears have big feet to spread out their weight on thin ice. Their paws are the size of a dinner plate. When baby Polar Bears are scared they hug their mom. Sometimes they act funny and roll around in the snow. Polar Bears are the biggest bears of all the bears. They can hold their breath for 3 minutes and 10 seconds. Male Polar Bears can get up to 1,300-1,600 pounds and female Polar Bears can get up to 400-600 pounds. They can smell from two miles away. If they are on top of the ice they can smell seals under the ice. Polar Bears wait for the seals to come out of their ice holes so the Polar Bears can eat them. Their favorite food is Seal blubber. Polar Bears can swim very far without getting out of the water. Before the Female Polar Bears have babies they build dens. Female Polar Bears leave smelly foot prints for males to follow them. Females and their babies stay in their den the male polar bears hunt food. Male Polar Bears fight for Female Polar Bears. Baby Polar Bears like to play. Baby Polar Bears come in twins and they rarely come in triplets. They can run really fast. Polar Bears have sharp claws to grab the seals. Polar Bears don’t eat Arctic Foxes. When Baby Polar Bears are born and they weigh less than a house cat. When Polar Bears are born they are blind. Male Polar Bears have long hairs on the back of their legs. Baby Polar Bears stay with their moms in the den. It was really cool and fun to watch a live camera.
