i think we got overwhelmed when we did the count down.
That was so cool! I loved seeing that!
it was so amazing to see a rocket shoot up into space. We loved seeing our planet and how the rocket works and separated into 3 parts in space. We loved it.
Hi Sabrina F.,
Z-man has just posted a comment on your blog post, The Countdown to liftoff: Spacex Falcon Heavy Rocket, and you need to approve it:
I learned that the Falcon Heavy had 27 engines and 3 cores. Their thrust is 22,319 kilonewtons at sea level and 24,681 kilonewtons thrust at vacuum. Since it is a rocket, it has 2 stages. The payload on the Falcon heavy is a car called a Tesla Roadster with a dummy inside. The payload weighs 63,800 kilograms at LEO, but at GTO, the payload is 26,700 kilograms. The mass of this rocket is 1,420,788 kilograms. :Height = 70 meters.
Total width (that means with the Falcon 9 boosters. (stage 2)) = 12.2 meters. It also has 3 cores that each has an octoweb that holds 9 Merlin engines. Like i said, There are 27 engines. So 27 / 9 = 3! The burn time is 397 seconds for the second stage and the thrust at vacuum for the second stage is 934 kilonewtons.
It is so powerful. It was so exciting. It was very funand also they had a car in it.iI was really cool seeing it live. The middle piece fell in the water not on the pad.it was a cool experience.
It was very exciting. And it is the most powerful ship ever so this was really fun. Also they had a car in the falcon heavy. It was really fun to see it live. The middle piece fell in the ocean not where the spot was.I loved the part where the space ship blasted off and I liked the count down.
