Yellowstone Park Ranger by Gabby
We were skyping with Yellowstone and she told us a lot of stuff. There are 500 geysers. She told us geyers go up to 100 to 200 feet. She also told us wolves sometimes eat bison but they mostly eat elk. Elk are like deer because they're easy to hunt down. Sometimes you can't tell the difference between the grizzly bear and the black bear. Just because a bear is black it does not mean it has to be a black bear.

Our Skype With A Park Ranger At Yellowstone National Park by Zach
Today, we skyped with a Yellowstone park ranger and she told us about Yellowstone. Then, she let us ask questions about Yellowstone. And then, she tested our knowledge about Yellowstone and then told us to protect Yellowstone National Park because it is a special place for everyone. The animals there were, bears, bison, deer, elk, wolves, golden eagles, big horned sheep, etc. There were geysers, mud pots, hot springs, and other hydrothermal vents. Eagle peak is the highest peak in Yellowstone. Yellowstone is placed on something called a hot spot. A hot spot is where a magma chamber not far below the surface heats the rain from more than 500 years ago that seeps under the cracks on the surface and it turns into steam and water, that shoots out of the crust. The geyser’s water and steam can reach up to 200 feet high! The mud pots are very stinky because of sulfur. Yellowstone once was home to native americans. Before 150 years ago, Yellowstone was not a park. More than 500 geysers are in Yellowstone. There is a Mega-colossal volcano in Yellowstone that erupted in the age of dinosaurs! In the winter, glaciers scrape through valleys and that creates plains. Yellowstone National Park is lots of fun!
