Writing about our invention and presenting it to the class!
Our book was How to Speak Dolphin. It is a book about a boy named Adam. Adam loves dolphins. He has high functioning autism. He can not communicate that well. His family has a pool in their backyard.The dolphin we created is waterproof. It has a on and off button and a remote. This is the way it works. First you have to put the dolphin in the water or else it will break. Next, you have to turn it on. Finally it will act just like a real dolphin. It helps Adam because when he is around dolphins he is happy and he can talk to dolphins and no one can understand them. Adam’s connection with dolphins is amazing and no one knows why he likes them so much.

The Know It All Rule Machine
We created a machine for David, a boy who is a character in the book RULES. David has autism. David doesn’t follow the rules like other people. His sister, Catherine, the main character of the book, wants him to follow all of the rules without having to tell him all of the rules. So we made this machine that will teach him all of his rules. This is how it works. David goes into the machine and his sister Catherine says all of the rules into the voice activator. When they are done they press a red button and confetti shoots out. Then a bracelet shoots out and in order for David to follow all of the rules he has to wear it.

The Melody Mover

We created a Machine called a Melody Mover! The Melody mover will help are character Melody Brooks. Melody can’t walk, talk, or move very well. She also needs help with eating and going to the bathroom. Our invention will help Melody go up the stairs without having her Mom or Dad carry her up the stairs.
How does it work?
First Melody rolls on the platform. Next, she presses the button. Finally and then she goes up to the top of the staircase using a track.

The name of our invention is Chip.It is for Cece from the book El Deafo. The doctor will put the Chip in the back of Cece’s neck. This will help her hear where ever she is by connecting with the satellite. Cece is deaf and the chip will help her hear. She can even sleep with it.
Cece is the main character in the book El Deafo. She got a really bad sickness and went deaf. She needed a hearing aid. What we made was a chip aid to help her hear.
It makes you be able to hear out of both ears without a hearing aid. It will help Cece because she doesn't like people seeing her hearing aid. So the chip aid will go on her back.
Cece is the main character. She was playing tag. She got poked by a branch in her eye. Now she needs the Glasses 3,000, our next invention.
These special spectacles allow a person to see 3,897 feet away! You can see the blackboard and even see through things! They have coordinates of what you are looking at.

There is a girl named Melody and she needs help when she eats. That is why we created the Out. She puts it on her wrist and holds the fork in her hand. It can help her by making it easier for her to eat.

The Deedee Bot

We created the Deedee Bot for Melody Brooks. She has “Cerebral Palsy.” She is unable to walk, talk, or do physical activities. The Deedee Bot is a small remote, just right for her thumbs to press the buttons. It can make her voice louder or softer, and it will show the color of her feelings. It also has a phone charger on the back. It has a on and off button. It even has a music player too! It has a wifi connector so it will connect to the radio. You clip a hook on her shirt and it connects to Melody. Once you press the wifi button, the cord connecting the Deedee bot to the clip will vibrate. We think it will help a lot.

Hearing aids are for people that are deaf. You can turn it on or off. You can make the sound louder. You can turn the sound lower if it is too loud. It helps our character to hear.
Puppies are great house pets but they have to be taken care of just like you and me.
Step 1. You must have a comfy bed for your dogs. You could have rags in a cardboard box or a blanket on a pillow.
Step 2. You have to hold the puppy right. You hold it gently and put one hand under the dog’s bottom and the other around it’s body.
Step 3. You have to have a bowl for the puppy to drink and a bowl for the puppy to eat.
Step 4. You have to get the puppy proper food and get the puppy water.
Step 5. You have to know how the puppy feels by watching it.
Woof! = A puppy barks if it is excited or wants your attention.
Wag! = When a puppy is happy to see you it wags it’s tail.
Roll over! = A puppy rolls on it’s back if it wants a to be your friend.
Crouch! = When a puppy crouches with it’s tail in the air it wants to play.
Tilt! = When a puppy tilts its head to one side it means it’s trying to understand what you are saying or doing.
Ears up! = When a puppy puts its ears up it’s listening
Step 6. Encourage a puppy to play by showing the puppy its toys.
Step 7. Play pulling and throwing games with your puppy.
Step 8. If your puppy falls asleep,let it sleep. Playing is tiring.
Step 9. You need toys for your puppy like a tugging toy, a ball, and a squeaky toy.
Step 10. You also need dog treats so that you can give it to your puppy after the puppy has done a command.
Step 11. You need to have your dog learn commands like sit, roll over, shake, and lie down.
Step 12. You also have to get a leash and a collar.
Step 13. You have to train your puppy to wear a leash and collar.
Step 14. You have to clean up after your dog and give it a bath with soapy water.
